Current Newsletter
SPRING 2024
Every year, CBSM releases two newsletters to highlight important CBSM events and achievements, and to acknowledge our hardworking faculty and students.

鈥淢y advice to future MHML students is to approach this program with both open minds and open hearts. Healthcare is not merely an industry鈥攊t's a tremendously rich tapestry of human experiences where you'll have the privilege to serve, lead, follow, and grow in ways you cannot yet imagine.鈥 - Joseph O鈥機onnor

Each year, the 蜜桃导航 College of Business and Security Management honors a local leader
who not only drives meaningful progress but also inspires those around them. In 2025,
that leader is Patty Mongold, from Mt. McKinley Bank.

This was my first Arctic Innovation Competition, and all I can say is WOW. On April
19, 2025 (the day before Easter), people from all over the nation gathered at the
8 Star Events Center. From Nome to Florida, competitors came to showcase their bright
ideas to help improve the world we live in. We received around 150 entries, and only
16 made it to the finals. A major feat for those competitors and their ideas. Finalists
included four from the main division, six from the junior division, and six from the
cub division.

In a span of two years, seven of CBSM's faculty members completed doctorate degrees,
and two received prestigious awards. A ceremony was held to commemorate their accomplishments
and to induct students into honor societies: Beta Gamma Sigma and Order of Sword and
Shield.
