Date: March 5-6, 2022
Time: All day
Location: ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ North Campus ski trails

The Skiathon, a 20-kilometer classic-style ski race and tour, will be held on the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ trails March 5-6.

The event is a fundraiser for ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ trails work and has a $15 fee.

The course, a winding loop that uses many of the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ North Campus trails, will be groomed with classic tracks and marked. This year's race will again be a virtual event, so participants can ski it at any time on the weekend and report their times to Stan Justice at stanjustice@acsalaska.net

For a map of the course, visit the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Trails Club . The race traditionally starts on the wide powerline downhill from the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ ski hut, which is located across Tanana Loop from the Akasofu Building on West Ridge.

To reduce the COVID-19 risk, organizers ask that entrants remain 6 feet apart, wear masks if that distance can't be maintained and avoid using the ski hut. If entering the ski hut, wear a mask.

To register, go to the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Outdoor Adventures . Paper registrations with checks also will be available at Beaver Sports through Friday, March 4.

Finishers will receive a Skiathon patch.
