Earlier today, UA President Pat Pitney sent out a message to the UA community outlining
a change in COVID-19 vaccination requirements for ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½. This is a positive step to
preserve our ability to receive federal funds, thus protecting ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½â€™s research enterprise.
This step is also one that will help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Ìý
The President is instituting a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for all ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ employees
at the Troth Yeddha’ Campus (Fairbanks), as well as ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ employees in research units
outside Fairbanks, including student employees. Later today, all ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ employees will
receive an email from UA HR with additional information, including the process to
verify vaccination or request exemptions.
