
Scientists from the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ joined thousands of colleagues
from around the world at the 2021 American Geophysical Union fall meeting Dec. 13-17
in New Orleans and online.
A recent ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½-led project encouraged a far-flung group of
K-12 students to pursue local research questions by examining "dirty snow" in their
communities.
Satellite data can now routinely be used to detect low levels of sulfur dioxide emissions
from volcanoes, giving scientists another tool to provide early warnings of volcanic
unrest.

ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ will host the Fairbanks Curling Lions' 32nd annual
Sparktacular celebration on Friday, Dec. 31. Fireworks will be displayed at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½'s
West Ridge starting at 8 p.m.
ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Staff Council is offering a consolidated fee stipend for classes taken by staff
that directly support their career or professional development.
The Bunnell House Early Childhood Lab School is now enrolling children ages 3 to 4
years old for the Spring 2022 semester, which starts Jan. 3, 2022.
The CircleIn pilot will continue to be open to all courses for spring 2022. Through
this product, ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ can support student engagement and collaboration for all students,
distance and in-person.
